Does anybody no of a way to make the fog lights stay ON while running high beams?
seems stupid to me that the fogs turn off while the high beams are on,as they are a different light:confused:

The reason that the turn off is because of the rules of the department of transportation.
The law is that you cannot have more than four white lights on at any time on a vehicle when it is on the road. When you have your low beams on and then you turn on your fogs, you have four lights total.
But if you have your brights on, you will have your low beams AND the high beams on at the same time, now if you turn on your fogs, you will have a total of SIX lights on and that is against the law.

Make sure that if you do your fog light at any time mod that you do NOT turn on your brights and the fogs at the same time while on the road or you may find yourself getting a nasty ticket.

I too want to do the mod though. :)

Oops, we have the same light for lows and brights, so I have no idea why Toyota Did that on our truck.
    My bad.

That is just all vehicles in general... I think the thought process is that if you are turning on the high beams, your attention should be focused on what is way out there. Fogs create light right in front of the truck which then somewhat negates the real use of high beam? I don't know, just a thought.

Illegal in VA whether 4 or 6 lights. Won't pass inspection. Plus chance of tickets.
