Ah. That's not too bad. You should be able to shoot down 146 pretty quickly.

My buddy in Springfield made me a custom taco ornament and says he'll make more for anyone who's interested. $10 shipped for the bare metal ornament and $15 for the ornament and F Bomb key chain, if you're interested.

I think he said $7 shipped, but if you can ask him directly he may tell you cheaper.

Also, I looked at it more, and those are right where I live...well, pretty well all of them are within 30 minutes of my house. I think the ones Adam pointed out might be old strip mine roads, but I don't know for sure without the satellite view.

Just checking in. Does anyone around Columbus have a hookup for cheap TPMS for 3rd Gens? I bought alloys without TPMS thinking the ones from the steel wheels would transfer over. Dumb. Now I'd prefer to avoid the dealer markup if possible. Otherwise I'll have to get use to the light being on since I'll run without them. Thanks.

I just checked them out. The alternatives to the Toyota parts are way less expensive. I wonder how they would hold up. Has anyone had a local shop switch over their TPMS before?

I think you should be able to have them swapped over no problem. Sometime going from steel to alloy you might just have to rotate them 180 or something. Cannot say for sure but it usually works out in other cases

EDIT: See here - I think it would work fine: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-tpms-learn-me-something.639847/#post-22088556

Seems the 40* sensors from the steelies still fit on the alloys. Only way to find out is to try.

Not really. If you head over towards The Wilds, there is a bunch of land called the AEP ReCreation Lands that is a bunch of dirt roads with some tough pull off areas. Fun place to spend a few hours exploring but other than some mud, it’s very mild. Great places to hunt, fish, hike & camp.

    Try
    (39.7884907, -81.7166489)

from their website: “ Driving off road in this area is not permitted.”

I’d have to assume these pull offs are not necessary smiled upon.

They are definitely fine to use, I live 30 minutes from this place and frequent it quite a lot, including talking to the 2-3 “rangers” who look after the thousands of thousands of acres out there that are free to use.

If you’re out there tearing shit up and acting like a moron, then no, it’s probably not smiled upon. But if you’re just traversing the area to get in deeper to different ponds, etc, it is more than fine.
