Yeah that must have been it, that was fun but also kind of a shitshow lol...it was so crowded at Pismo that weekend, like a giant frat party on the beach. I only like going there over winter now when there's way less people

How did you not get any rub with a 3" lift and 33"s? I read on here that the max tire size is 31".

for me it was about width. My 255/85/16 pizza cutters (33”) barely ever rubbed at 10” wide. While my new 285/75/16 (33x11.5). Rub at both pinch welds, and a bit on the passenger side frame. I am in the process of doing the pinch weld mod.

it depends on your wheels mostly. stock wheels can’t run 33’s on a 3” lift but with my methods on my 04 i don’t rub at all on anything and i have 33x12.5 and on my 01 it had method deep dishes and didn’t rub. both have that cheap adj billsteins lift with those 3” eibach coils

wheels and alignment play a bigger role than lift. Lifting doesn't do much to clear tires, all the things that rub when the tires are too big will still rub even after you lift the truck.

The backspacing on your wheels and the caster in your alignment are probably the biggest factors, and some cutting/trimming of the pinch weld is almost always needed if you offroad a lot and stuff the wheels.

    I've run 285 75's on a 2.5 lift with minor modifications.
