yah was thinking of using an impact or something. Seen a few folks mentioned impact or air tool and did it pretty quick. ill be going directly to a 2.8 or 2.5 depending if I can get some supporting mods done. Fuel Pump, Ratiotek for one.

Pretty much every other post I made that isnt here or in the HP Tuners thread is a snarky comment in a stupidity thread.... I should stay home more often, stop venturing out.

Just to be clear, an air ratchet turns rather slow and is nothing like an impact air tool, driver or wrench. There is a certain amount of touch and control for the trimming since it is soft aluminum. To be fair, I started with a hand ratchet to get it going smoothly.

I made a bunch of cuts in the pinch weld, spaced apart about an inch or so, then just hammered it flat.

Wheel specs will play a roll as well.

    2200-2500.

Giddy up, definitely tape over that intake. You got some serious mud or dirt it looks like in the engine bay.

I had tape on there but no tape looked better.. for the 'gram! My bay collected that over the past couple years. I only ever washed the outside exterior cover then I stopped when skid plates did nothing for stopping the elements. Then I have hood vents that don't help either....

2200 for 4.56s @60mph? Hell that's not bad at all. A 150-200 RPM increase over OE at 65 is very doable for me. You got me considering a gear swap out now. What is the stock ratio again?

    What?

Holy hell. That's low. Even if I go 4.10 it sounds like I'm in good shape RPM band range wise. I might just spring for 4.56. Now I want more torque. :D

What actually sold me on 4.56 is I drove a buddy’s FJ and he had made the swap. The pep was nice.

How about at 80mph? For those of us at 5-7K above sea level with fast highways. I’m leaning towards 4.10.
