Say , on the Bring a Trailer website that red 2004 Tacoma being sold by member ggatori "wasn't sold" ? Am I correct on this ?? Has 45,000 miles or so on it. I am curious if it hasn't sold, the best way to get in touch with him would be. He may still be looking to open up garage space. I would put this message in the "for Sale" section but not allowed by rookies. A Tacoma buff . Thanks.

Negative. Though it does help. Have a lead on a low milage Tacoma and looking for input on cost. Frame isn't as clean as that one but truck will be "parked" in Texas so future rust isn't an issue. Why not spend big money on a 1st generation ?? Its low milage , loaded with all options, except the sunroof, if anything its too NICE of a truck. In Texas , pickups rule . Anybody can go to the dealer and drop bucks for a new one, but the 2001, I am looking at is "vintage" class. Sure it takes legwork, time, etc. But eventually, its nice to know ... Roy Rogers, The Lone Range and The Cisco kid would welcome it to any ranch . Giddyup ...

I thought in Texas you considered a "lesser man" for driving a foreign truck?

And I never saw a Toyota on Roy Roger's ranch. Just an affinity to taxiderming his dead pets.

Yeah that is a bit creepy. Buttermilk, his wife/Dales' horse and their German Shepard dog, Bullet were stuffed too. Wonder where they are on display these days. Branson ?? Showbiz folks ... O.K. to drive a foreign truck in the Lone Star State these days ... those ten gallon hats worn down here ?? Made in China ......

Are you expecting us to just know exactly what truck you're talking about, and how to contact the seller for you?

I don't know. Once I figure out that the purple one didn't have a left handed iron skillet I gave up. You can only use 4 zip ties anyway. My cousin's sister, who's in prison for selling homemade soap in the NAPA parking lot, told me years ago that fried eggs shouldn't be kept in your shirt pocket. So after some twisting of the lug nuts I was able to save the last two radial arm saws. Not sure what it means, 'cause I've only had 12 other buttered biscuits do that before. But once you've played with a big set of titties it's hard to go back to conventional oil. I gave up 3 times because of that damn apple fritter.

What do you fellas think? Should I?
