Looks like some fresh paint and a rear diff skid are in your future.

Sounds very subtle but good. Not loud and annoying. Good job!

We took the truck camping last night a earls ford up in Clayton up at warwoman creek.

Super disappointed to find it left like this

Ended up cleaning it and having a good time.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Awesome of you guys to clean that site up. I am always amazed that people would roll out to enjoy nature only to F it up. Good on you to start the year with good karma.

Awesome of you to do this! My wife and I are avid backpackers and always try and leave the place better than we found it. It's folks like that, that get places shut down or gated. It makes it look bad for those us that do clean up behind ourselves.

    Happy New Year!

Good deed cleaning that up! Your dogs prompted me to share a rule I have... wherever you camp, whether it appears clean or not when you arrive, take EXTRA effort to look around for broken glass and discarded food scraps.
    Broken glass = cut paws
Food scraps = sick dog and/or unwanted visits from the local wildlife

Good call on looking around for food. I've found chicken and rib bones that I know my dog would have loved to find but probably wouldn't have been great for him to eat.

Yea I see that your work is your TW time considering all the work you did at the beginning of this OP. You have way to much time on your hands. @BYJOSHCOOK

Fresh paint absolutely. Have some wire brushing and self etching primer and painting to do on the frame and skids. Im conflicted on rear diff skid. Ill lose a bit of clearance in the already lowest point of the truck. I've read that these diffs are fairly robust but...

Thank you sir! Very happy with it after a couple hundred highway miles over the last two days. No drone at all, honestly barely noticeable until i get on it, and even then its barely noticeable. Cant say if it did anything for power since the 285's were throw on at the same time. Hoping to get her tuned soon. BUT ive also told myself that im not going to spend any money on non maintenance/repair items on the tacoma for the month of january so we will see how that goes hahaha...

@marinemonkey did a bang up job of my CMC yesterday. Highly recommend. (He didn’t leave it primered, it’s just easier to see the chop)

I'd give up the small amount of clearance for the protection. You damage it and you drive home in front wheel drive.

I second everything about this statement.

I mean those diffs are pretty damn thick, I wouldn't worry about it. People hitting much harder stuff than us aren't using them. Now talking about the rear part of the diff then I could see welding up a cover on that
