I'm not old but hit that stage by 60.

Started out in an office downtown walking to meetings everyday all over the campus. Passing people from all around the world with rare exotic diseases that come here for treatment. Buildings, subways and skyways have high volume air exchangers but still...

Expansion and growth pushed us out of downtown to buildings all around the town. Can't greenfield buildings fast enough and have bought up all available buildings from manufacturing plants including IBM. Last 2 years work from home and get pissed when I have to go downtown now. Then again I get pissed at a lot of things anymore.

When I shingled the house 18 years ago put 6' of rubber ice guard down along the roof edges. Almost time to reshingle and thinking metal roof, not sure. Won't be alive long enough for the cost difference to be made up for me. Multi level and can't rake backside of house, at least without a ladder. Not doing that in the winter, fun enough in the summer on the edge of a ravine. Was just out looking at my gutters, downspout end is pushing away from the roof from ice.

Spent most of October on the Canadian border grouse hunting. Was back part of a week and got leaves up but only half were down. Snow started mid Oct. and hasn't gone away, and leaves still dropping then. So gutters have leaves and sticks in them and been frozen in place for at least 3 months now. Be awhile before they will thaw out enough to clean them yet. Trying to ignore it. Trying.

    I just woke up again.
Stayed up late watching Baylor game on phone. They didn’t win but hadn’t been to a bowl since 1957 so there’s that.

A lot of homes here don't have rain gutters. Not exactly sure why. Mine doesn't have them. I thought about adding a small one. There's a valley where 2 sections of roof come together and pushes run-off to the front door walk way about 20' away from the door. When we do get heavy rain I'm thinking it would back up under the tile roof. Not that we get a lot of rain anyway so I'm not that motivated, but it would be nice to not have rain go down my neck when I do have to pass under it.
