I’m really digging the entire front end, headlights, Grill & Raptor lights...looks badass!!!

Only thing I’d do differently is color match the grill, but still looks awesome!

Ok I have my new light on the work bench ready to install. 2010 OEM DRL’s are part of the Turn Signal, so my opinion is I will still have the Amber DRL’s and the now the Light Bar DRL. Since the Light Bar is being powered off of the Side Marker does that mean I have to have at least the parking lights on for it to work. To lazy to do a little research but does anybody know which wire on the turn signal harness is for the DRL’s, thinking of cutting that wire and connecting it to the Light Bar wire thus have the side marker land separate DRL and no amber DRL. Hell I will just get my Fluke Meter and test light and find out which wire it is. Don’t want tear apart the front more than once.

I have been testing way of connecting the DTRL's Tube so I don't have to run them off the parking light circuit. I also would like to ditch the Amber OEM DTR and just have the turn signal/parking light. I can run the LED DTRl light bar as a DTRL/Turn signal by taping into the OEM DTRL/Turn signal wire but have to use the OEM Amber DTRL/ Turn Signal to prevent hyperflash if I remove the Amber Bulb I induce hyperflash in the Turn signal. Probably the simplest solution is to wire the LED Ligh Bar to a switch in the dash and live with the OEM. DTRL/Turn signal. I know I could use a resistor or do the Stealth DTRL mod. Resistor would be my choice

This one is "easier"...place add-a fuse in opposite directions on the low beam tap so they fit. Use Left High Beam fuse for trigger on relay.

Figured out what to do about Factory DRL’s. Will go under dash and cut the wire and add butt Connectors for adding switch or for reconnecting if OEM Light are reinstalled as was covered in a different thread. I did modify the LED light bar wiring so it will not be part the side markers. I will eith use a switch or a circuit that is on when engine is running. Drilled 1/4” hole in housing, cut off connector and fished Light Bar wires through hole, sealed hole with RTV. Will extend ground wire to a chassis ground and the power wire to a source to be determined, more that likely to a switch on dash.

3 month update on Morimoto 2 stroke upgrade for those interested.

Still working great with no condensation forming in the housing, even after dozen of car washes and rain storms.
Light output is nice and provides better visibility than halogen.

One complaint: The LED's cooling fans emit a noticeable hum. When the truck is running it is inaudible, but when the truck is turned off, they are quite loud; to the point that I don't like keeping my headlights on without the truck running.

    Hope this helps.

I just installed the AKKON lights in my 2005 and know I might run into condensation eventually. I ran some E6000 adhesive sealant around the seams and hope that delays or eliminates the risk of moisture getting inside. We'll see. I really like the improved look though. On Amazon I read reviews saying the cheap low beam bulbs burn out so I bought some new ones to have handy in case.

Any way to fix condensation? It's been 6 months since i've had my tacomabeast headlights and recently drivers side is fogging up in rainy weather. If I reseal along the edges with silicone will that take care of the problem?

Simply silicone around where the clear lens attach to the housing. I use GE silicone II from HD.

I haven't yet, was planning on checking here first to see if there was something simple that I was overlooking.

Try rotating the plug and reconnecting. These LEDs are pole specific so you just need to flip it around and it should work. At least this is what did the trick when one of mine didn't turn on. Also just stating the obvious as I'm sure you're already aware. But make sure you have your parking lights turned on. Good luck!

I love the look of these lights! But I find the black might stick out too much on my Silver Streak Mica...

Has anyone tried colour matching the Tacomabeast/Spyder headlights?

Does anybody have a picture of light output with the stock bulbs?

Have read along and seen some say the HID bulbs don't cooperate and give terrible spread but they're better for projector. I have HID's in my Anzo's currently and they work amazingly. Curious if anyone can show me the stock light spread vs the LED (or if anyone got HIDs to work) spread because I'm very interested in these but I don't want to have to figure out a rig like i did with the current ones i have. Thanks!
