Lol. I Was just messing with JD, he's a smart dude. Going to school for a great engineering program and working full time takes plenty of effort and determination

I'm kinda on the border as to whether or not a degree is a proper measure of being "brainy", as the article calls it. Yes those with degrees show that they had the determination and hard work to make it through the 4-5 yrs of college, but I also think it cuts others short who simply didn't have the money/resources to go to college yet were able to succeed by opening up a business or getting hired at a legitimate job with skills and education obtained outside a classroom.

How was your trip JD? I checked out the place and I'm thinking of heading down there on Tuesday as the weather is supposed to be in the low 70s. How long (miles/hours) was the complete hike? Still any water left?

Thanks for the kind words. So we called an hour before and they said it's not smart to head up there due to flash floods. So we decided to go to another area. It's off Santa Anita and the 210. You just head north up the mountain. We did an 11-mile loop. There are some great waterfalls. I'll post a few pictures today or tomorrow. I would definitely go back. The whole first 5 miles to camp, you are right by the creek basically for most of the time. The 6-mile back that we did today crossed it a few times but we took the upper route instead of the lower. Fun place. There is actually another waterfall 1/2 mile from the parking lot. but we didn't go check that one out since it was in the opposite direction. I would like to go back and see it since it's only 1/2 mile one way.

honestly, I was surprised that your truck could do stuff off road being a prerunner and all.. it just can't park as well as a 4x4

 

I know you are. So I'm shootin back! What we were doing wasn't that crazy. And I have driven in the sand before. I just have to air down. I was too lazy and didn't have an AC. You would have gotten stuck worse if you brought your truck!

 

I would not have gotten stuck in my truck!!!!
