Not sure if anyone is having the same problem, by accident i turned the 4wd knob while driving (2nd time now) . Why did they put it right next to the AC knobs, and use the same style for the 4x4 why not keep it up top where the terrain selectors are :(

That seems dumb. Same shape and everything?

Maybe you could wrap it in something to make it feel different.

The explorer I drove had it on the center console, I hated that too.

I hate it there too. I’m going to have my friend with a 3D printer make a spiked ring to go around it so you know if you accidentally grab it lol

I actually thought about that but didn't know if I should say "duck tape" or "duct tape" so I went with flex tape. Flex anything is awesome, at least the dude on the commercials says so. I've never seen a commercial for duck tape or duct tape.

I agree it is in a much sillier place than the second gen (and even it's users complain sometimes) but looking for half a second before you adjust something isn't that hard.

Try flying a Piper Cheyenne with overhead switches.

Yes sir. A piece of gorilla tape on it, a little heat and you won’t turn that knob again by accident...or on purpose.

Try glancing at the controls for approximately .037 seconds before turning the knob.
