3.4L supercharger

With stock pulley URD 7th injector = a little ping action
With 2.2 pulley URD 7th injector = a little ping action
With 2.2 pulley URD 7th injector, and menthol injection, everything runs smooth.

 

menthol lol i dont like menthol lol i have been thinking of getting the meth setup so 2.1 with the 7th injector is not enough? my truck runs pretty rich right now with the 2.2

i have all the fuel upgrades on my 4runner, and the only hardware that helped was the AEM methanol kit.

 

Every truck depending on its setup condition of that truck's fuel system Etc will have a different result so unfortunately there's no one Band-Aid for the Ping issue including an automatic transmission which affects the supercharger differently

 

I replace my fue oldl pump and I'm running a 2-inch pulley and now I only need the methanol to spray from 7 pounds up,
For me just installing a new fuel pump changed my equation where is before I needed it to spray at 4 lb all the way up

 

How often should u change the fuel filter?i dont think mines ever been replaced

 

i know.... im a 5speed never owned an auto in my life just was worried about over boosting and running out of injector making it lean out not the low rpm ping

 

This may be silly, but I just want to make sure...When I install my supercharger, I'm going to basically reseal the top end of the engine. This is my parts list that I have for that job, but I just want to make sure that I do or do not need the two new plenum gaskets. Also I need to check and see if my supercharger came with a new throttle body gasket or not. I don't have the box with me currently.

 

supercharger kit if new, should come with the throttle gasket. its specific to a SC engine. the lower plenum can be reused if the metal type, but better to just buy a new oem metal gasket.

So when I go to install the Transgo kit, I'll need a new transmission pan gasket but I'm not finding one on the Toyota website. What do you guys do for that?

I’m 10k miles on the SC. Pretty awesome. All plug and play. No mods. Just a SC with an MT 5 speed. No ping. It does need to be driven a certain way depending what you’re doing.

Truck likes lighter tires like the 3rd gen GY Kevlars. It likes those better than the heavier LT tires. It’s way smoother with the lighter tires. I don’t hear any ping if I don’t clutch/gas the right way or rev in 1st gear. It likes the stock wheels better than 16x8s. I found it just all works better stock.

 

Aftermarket or fipg

 

Black toyota fipg, put that on everything oil related for me and never had an issue.

 

So whats the benefit of the transgo kit. I read somewhere these auto trans can take a beating and no need to upgrade. Anyone running this kit any feedback?
