    1st and 2nd gen forums are more normal because it's real issues IMO...

    Like: "oh my gawd my 3.4 5vz-fe headgasket blew at 180k miles...wtf do I do?"

    Compared to: "my 4x4 switch is stupid."

    haaaaaa yea but after 40k i feel like they should have perfected everything. it seems as they screw up things on purpose, to fix it on the next gen.

    My friend's first gen 4runner had the same problem. Had to use the second latch that's annoying to grab as it's behind you
