How many Limited 1st Gen Double Cabs were made?

Mine is a limited. Seats are awesome compared to non-limited models. That's really the only thing worth noting.

 

Still own mine. In 2001 when I bought mine new at Putnam Toyota in Burlingame, Ca. there were dozens of Tacomas in their garage-mine was the only LTD. and was still on the carrier truck when I claimed it.

 

Interesting, I had never imagine that Limited editon was also sold into 2WD trucks, good to know and the picture of the truck ?
A least I think I got this much clear, a Prerunner is always a 2WD..... I don't use 4WD at all but just to have it feels ok in case I get some day sometime in need to use it.

Did you want a picture of my truck? I have a bunch of them in my TW photos (click on the pic below and then you can scroll through all my pics from there) but I have a pic of my window sticker which is more handy at this time, and it shows it's a 4x2 and it also shows the "limited" package ad-ons.


You bring up an interesting point-I never thought of this; I wonder how many 4x2 limited there are. You may be right that they are pretty rare.

 

I little late but my Tacoma is a trd off road limited 2003. It had badging on the outside that says “limited” and mirrors are chromed, grill is too, badging is all chromed, and inside the seats are leather.

 

The leather seats aren’t stock, even on Limited. Those were added by the dealer or a previous owner. No Tacoma (even to this day) has stock leather seats.

 

Mine is not a limited, but I have every option except all the chrome and the Lumbar. Also the dealer added leather to mine. I had no idea that these trucks had this many options... wow

I bought a 2003 black tacoma 4 door sr5 and I'm mostly going to black that one out so I have the best of both worlds lol

 

I would love to see a pic of those leather seats. That would be a sight.
My limited has the cloth seats.

 

i am curious if your map light has a switch for what i think they are called dome lights, so that when you open your door at night just the map lights come on
I had read on TW that they stopped furnishing Tacoma's with that feature at some point
... i never use mine, the fancy red lights in the doors are more than enough to get into the truck in the dark
