The hard part is remembering it when it's relevant

No 05-06 Tundras that weren’t double cabs.

I did find a 98 4Runner that I used to see around campus. It was put in the yard 6 months ago with a bad A340E. Might take it's 5VZ depending on mileage.

That's the freaking truth..... Like when a 4 second vid of a guy with broken neck smacks the salt shaker and yells 'F*** salt' is relevant. You have a gift my friend

Most of the parts for the timing belt on the 4R have been ordered. Still need to get the fan bracket and serpentine belt kit which together are another couple hundred so those will have to wait a couple more weeks.

Pretty much done cleaning the interior now, it's about as clean as I'm going to get it without really taking shit apart. Carpet still looks like shit but I at least vacuumed it and washed the factory weather floor mats off. The PO had put those over the OEM carpet mats:smack:. I'll replace those with the fancy Weathertech floor mats later. Those should cover most of the nasty carpet.

Yeah I think one was missing because I couldn’t find a really clean gold one from last time.

Any idea if a Tundra RS3200 alarm/keyless entry would work on a Tacoma?

Just over 280k miles, don't know that it was ever done previously. Are the fan brackets for the V8 better than for the 3.4? I know everyone recommends doing them on the 3.4 when you do the timing belt...

I’ve never honestly seen one go bad on a v8 or a 3.4. It’s easy enough to get to too.

Cool, thanks for that. Saves me a Franklin or so. I'll get the Gates serpentine belt kit now then.

Check the dealer. Some of the v8 belts are like 30 bucks.
