That was like 3 months ago, how do you think we got all this stuff (this is only half of it). Amazon gift cards....and to think my wife didn't want to do a baby shower at first. I said like hell we are, there's no way we are turning down all that free baby stuff

No gender reveal, those are ridiculous. We knew we were having a girl about 2 months in and told family right after. Did the genetic testing early on for disorders and stuff and that gives you the gender as well. I'm not about surprises when it comes to this stuff

Everything in that paragraph was logical and relatable. Are you sure you're having a kid? Usually expecting parents go goofy over that stupid bullshit, "I don't want to know the gender", "I'd love it even if it would never be able to walk or talk".... If it's avoidable, wouldn't it stand to reason that its preferable to have a "normal child". Plus you can have Al the right cutesy gifts and clothes if you know gender.

For me I have to be prepared for stuff, even more so for something this life changing. Thankfully she's healthy and we expect everything to be normal, but if that weren't the case I'd want to be able to make sure we were as prepared as possible for it and not completely taken by surprise when she's born.
Even with the gender...I can't fathom why some people want to be surprised by that lol.

Plus, who knows maybe it's a real life alien situation, better to know before it bursts out.

Yeah I think they are crazy expensive. Like you can buy a whole truck for the price of all 4
