Nothing. It just drips in and washes that section of the engine bay. Won’t hurt anything

Man, all this chatter about re-gear makes me wonder if I should redirect my suspension fund to this. I'm currently running an OME setup but it's going to be time to change it soon and I'm saving up for Kings 2.5, with a rear shock mount relocation for the extra travel. I'm on 33's but tall and skinny, stock gears like it better than the 285's I had before, but I wonder....

But for the group, I'm going to stay at the 255/70/17 for a while, maybe go up to 265, but I'm loving the skinny tires. You guys think 4.10 or 4.56? Or I could split it and go 4.30 like was mentioned earlier? Thoughts?

I would have issues on one side of my engine but well see after i get everything installed. Pretty sure I will be needing to relocate a few things. My current fuse panel and switch pro are located where the S/C reservoir tank is supposed to go. Not a must have but added benefit and looks good.

After having off the shelf coilovers id say pass unless you really plan to dial in the valving.

All you guys talking about regearing. After tuning the transmission im still happy on my 35s and 3.73s :cookiemonster:

It reduced temps but thanks! ;)

If I lived in snow climates, I'd bolt in the original cut outs I made. I still have them but been lazy. Skid plates don't help much in splashing water. Engine bay gets pretty wet underneath since she's a daily.

I can't afford that JDM stuff. Some of their louvers are nice but wasn't looking to spend 125+ for a single layer CNC piece. These are Simpson offroad vents and 2 piece sandwiched on the cutout. I guess the owner was waiting on getting a table to make more but no news and their website is out

you could stay at 4.10 or 4.3 4.56 will be a bit much for that tire size. I thought it was great with 285/70/17. Check the ratio calculator to see where it would be at. With that tire size getting the suspension would be my choice. the rear relocation is going to set you back a bit depending which setup you go with. But if you plan to re-do gears and add a locker thats a tougher choice. I would still go the kings and relocate in the rear since your not running massive tires.

This is also running no S/C. I noticed a lot of folks running a S/C tend to not have as low of gears as folks without them. I really liked the suspension upgrade. that was the first thing I did. Recently did the relocate. If you do a relocate get better leafs in the back if you are running Dakars or add a leafs

ah that make sense. Funny enough his picture on his sight is soaking wet from rain. I guess it would not be as bad with the vent cover over them.

No inner fenders and I haven’t had any issues with snow or wet conditions this season and I guarantee the lack of fenders throws more water around the engine bay than the louvers

I'm in this process right now. Talking to Accutune regarding shim stacks and a rebuild. Going to order new seals, oil, custom valve stacks, probably bump up spring rate. Rebuilding all 4 corners.

But as far as the re-gear... You think that tune did the trick... do a re-gear. Like I said.. that made the biggest difference.. even after the blower, my shift Kit, etc.

    I promise y'all.. lol

I can't wait to feel the difference with the blower added. ive been debating going back down in tire size but with the blower that may keep me where I am at.

One day when I pull my engine and harness for rebuild I can concentrate on dust shields. I think it's important but I can do without them for now.

Definitely plan to dial in the valving, working with a shop to sort it out based on my driving applications and style. The OME setup is a great intro suspension that can get after it, but I'm looking to step it up a notch and get that durability.

Copy on the calculator, I was messing around with that not too long ago, but you think upgrade the leafs from Dakar? I've been told that before, I kinda like the stiffer spring when I load up for a trip. But everyone that went Deaver love them. Sorry for derailing the thread into a suspension topic....

I have Dakar’s now and just did a relocate. The Dakar’s are stiff on all the bumps. The extra leafs in the Deaver I hear soak it up better. You can get Deavers for any weight handling. My buddy has a setup for 1000lbs over stock. He switched from a Dakar setup and loves it. If your going all out in the rear upgrade the springs. Next suspension upgrade is new springs.

    My recent Rear change

Thank you guys for all the tips on cutting and fitting the pulleys. After I get the cam gears on, I'm going to run it natural for a couple weeks and see how the changes go. Then install the S/C with 2.7 swap while I wait for my UCON to come back but I thought the cutting was going to take forever so I've been putting it off. Can anyone confirm, that the UCON needs to reconfigured for injector size? URD is a little less than helpful answering my questions. They say self tuning, but as far as I know from past EMS I've owned, injector size, accessory parameters such as 7th injector need to be turned on and updated on the user interface.
