I’ll agree with that but it is the first whiskey that I really enjoyed sipping on and what got me into sort of collecting. For the price (assuming no mark up), it’s a hard one to beat

Grabbed three randos to enjoy with a cigar and didn't notice the ABV likeness until now. It's a beautiful day out here, cheers TW!

I was at a local Italian grocery today and wandered down the alcohol isle, not expecting much. I was very surprised to see Blanton's, Nikka From The Barrel and High West Silver. I've not seen Nikka or the High West at any stores around here and the Blanton's is sighted just every few months. The prices weren't bad either - about $5 +/- more per bottle than Total Wine. I've got enough Nikka to last (and then some) so I decided to try the HW Silver, not knowing anything about it. Anyone had it before?

I saw High West Silver today too, I want to say it was $35? I also stumbled upon this beauty hidden behind a row of bottles! $59, but I have only ever seen 2 bottles and missed the first.

I've got one of those Stagg Jr as well but have not opened it yet. Partly because I have others I want to try first but also because it's 133 proof. Damn, that's hot! Let me know how you like it.

Apparently according to one bourbon enthusiast group, that batch of Stagg jr. Was their whisky of the year. Beating out Stagg sr and everything else.

I feel like I'm going to catch a lot of shit for this but I'm pretty content with wild turkey 101, but when I have a lot of money elijah craig small batch is the first thing i buy.

batch 12 (132.3 proof) is the one that is being hyped up as a whiskey of the year.

Batch 13 (128.4) is the newest one that has great reviews too.

I had to look cause I'm none the wiser on stagg Jr .
