Not a Tacoma, but 3G Limited sizing interestingly enough. I just put these on my wife's Jeep. Her stock Michelins were at 4-5/32 at only 35,000 miles. I wanted something with a 3-peak rating for snow because although she doesn't drive in a ton of snow since she's a schoolteacher that cancels school frequently in the snow, with young kids it cannot hurt, and I didn't want to run a dedicated snow tire. Plus, white letters :D. They are heavier than her stock Michelins (6 pounds a tire interestingly enough) and although I cannot comment on how heavy the stock 3G tires are, I was surprised. It does ride harsher than the stock Michelin, but it might be a Jeep specific thing.

That being said, the 65,000 mile treadwear is appealing and our tire shop offers free lifetime rotations which I'll utilize to keep the warranty intact. I'm pretty good about tire maintenance in general. What was surprising to me is that the shop could not offer a road hazard warranty on these tires through their distributors. I know Tire Rack (and likely other Internet sellers like Discount Tire) offers that, but I couldn't purchase it, which was disappointing as what triggered these tires right now was a nail in the outer tread blocks.

Mine were harsh when I drove it home from the tire shop, but they softened up within a few drives. Also, I'm sure you've checked this, but in my experience the tire shops almost always overinflate. In my experience these tires do well in the 32-34 range, cold once "broken in"

And you'll definitely get a much longer service life out of them than the tires you replaced if your experience is anything like mine. I run mine hard, fast in curves in the mountains, loaded down frequently, etc., and they are barely wearing at all since they hit 10/32nds

Just got some new sneakers put on my 2018 TRD OR... 265/75 R16. Thanks for all the insight from this thread! I had run KO/KO2 on all my previous trucks but really started to become disenchanted with them, even though they looked great. Hopefully the Coopers hold up and work well!

That’s me on the KO and the KO2. I have probably had six or seven sets of KO’s over the years, and now I have KO2’s on the Tacoma. I am putting these Coopers on my F150 very soon to test them out for a bit before getting some for the Tacoma. I have had the KOs that are now on the Ford for almost 80,000 miles. I will be lucky to get 50,000 miles out of my KO2’s on the Tacoma. Sad.

Edit: I see this is your first post. Welcome to Tacoma World!

Are people rubbing the stock mud flaps with 265/75r16 Coopers? I am sure this is discussed somewhere, but I had 265/70r16 AT3 4S on my first gen and loved them. Looking to get a set for my new to me turd gen, but don't want to ruin or remove the mud flaps if 265/75r16 is going to destroy them...

I haven't had any issues with clearance on my 265/75 R16 on my 2nd or 3rd Gen Tacomas. The Coopers actually have a bit more clearance than my KO2s did on my Gen 2. Hope that helps!

    Too few to list.
Good to see positive reviews on these tires. I think this will be my next set but the XL version.

Installed Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S 265 65/17, stock TRD Sport size. Great performance so far in rainy Oregon and they are just as quiet as my previous LT all season michelin. Cant wait to try them in snow, ice and mud.

I didnt know this until I was at discount tire but you can choose to have the white or black lettering on the outside by flipping over the tire. Black lettering looks great! Totaled $190 per tire once they were mounted, balanced and disposed of the original set.

@Discount Tire will match Amazon pricing. That comes in handy when you have tire issues and need reblancing and warranty help. :)

    A few.
I have a set of these. They run a little small in the stock 265/70/16 size with an overall diameter of 30.4".

    I'm going 265 75 16 unless I find some 17 inch rims

Have you installed these tires yet? How do you like them? Is your Taco lifted? If not do you have a
    ny clearance issues?

Yes. The video is with the new rubber installed and I was pretty impressed. I haven’t gone on any long treks lately so basic trail running hasn’t been experienced.

Rain and snow traction has been amazing on the street. No ice yet but packed snow for sure. Tires are grippy and they are QUIET.

I am running a 2.75” OME lift and no clearance or rubbing issues whatsoever.

So far these are probably my favorite tires I have run.
