I am by no means bashing anyone for doing the knobs, but am I the only one who doesn't like the look?

 

No, you're not. While I do think those knobs are cool looking, they aren't something I would install. The stock knobs are just fine.

But I think the options that could be made to replace the stock knobs are near unlimited.

The first one needed more convincing and cussing in Spanish the 2nd went smooth like laxatives. I found the sweet to spot to use the farm Jack on the slider.

^^ This is EXACTLY what I used, you have enough vinyl for two tries in case you mess-up the first time.

I have thought about how I would design them, but the machining cost for a single set up would be expensive. A round knob, knurled around the edge, and machined flat on the face. Made from 6061 Alum. Then black anodized. With a small concave dimple in white. Then I would do the same knob for my JBL stereo expect I would skip the dimple.

Needs work, but this is what i am going for. Make the dimple white and I went too deep on it.

 

If you’re talking about making a set for the a/c control make two sets.

 

I recently started working on the interior of my truck, trying to make it look a little more modern I guess. I started ot with a satin red chrome vinyl wrap that I'm slowly covering the silver with. Current works are painting all of my gray interior pieces black, detailing off with my A pillars (I was already removing them to tuck wires away for a dash cam, mic and GPS tracker for my head unit)
