Making the 4WD knob red was a real good idea :fistbump:

I am by no means bashing anyone for doing the knobs, but am I the only one who doesn't like the look?

No, you're not. While I do think those knobs are cool looking, they aren't something I would install. The stock knobs are just fine.

    I agree with that.

But I think the options that could be made to replace the stock knobs are near unlimited.

Technically he covered it and the post you quoted explains it, using 3M something or other...

The first one needed more convincing and cussing in Spanish the 2nd went smooth like laxatives. I found the sweet to spot to use the farm Jack on the slider.

The do nothing for me! Way to busy...

I have thought about how I would design them, but the machining cost for a single set up would be expensive. A round knob, knurled around the edge, and machined flat on the face. Made from 6061 Alum. Then black anodized. With a small concave dimple in white. Then I would do the same knob for my JBL stereo expect I would skip the dimple.

    Happy Friday Taco world!!:bananadance:

Needs work, but this is what i am going for. Make the dimple white and I went too deep on it.

I recently started working on the interior of my truck, trying to make it look a little more modern I guess. I started ot with a satin red chrome vinyl wrap that I'm slowly covering the silver with. Current works are painting all of my gray interior pieces black, detailing off with my A pillars (I was already removing them to tuck wires away for a dash cam, mic and GPS tracker for my head unit) 20191229_153337.jpg 20191229_153840.jpg 20191229_153844.jpg
