I printed and sold "custom" phone docks that set into the rectangular compartment in the center console on the 2nd gen autos. Originally I just made it for myself, but a few folks asked for one too. I made them custom fit for different phone/case combos. I wound up selling around 300 of them. I decided to stop making/selling them shortly after I moved west since it ate up too much of my mountain biking time haha...

Plenty of useful things to print. I also printed myself some wrench holders shown here, among a bunch of other stuff.

I printed them in ABS plastic and they held up well for our application, although I did still have a few failures in the field. I wouldn't use PLA for any end use parts, especially things that will live in your truck.

    Thanks @DG92071

I've only had my printer since Thanksgiving, but I'm printing like crazy. I will post up some of my stuff here in a bit.

Man I"ve been looking for some wrench holders like those but no one makes them. I'm definitely getting a printer now. One of the biggest holdups for me is coming up with ideas for things to print.

Those wrench holders are really nice. I looked for some as well. They were all made so the wrenches are too far apart which limits the amount of wrenches that can be put on them.

A simple thread on TW would solve the lack of ideas problem - "What do you want printed with a 3D printer?"

I have quite a few ideas, I'm not sure if they're any good though lol.

I made a mount for my phone. Everything came from Thingiverse except for the actual part that holds my phone. I drew that up in Fusion 360. I live in Texas, so PLA is not an option, so this is all in ABS. This first trial was in white because it's what I had on hand. It held up just fine, so I'll be using grey to better match the interior on the next one. Printed on the UM3+ I have at work.

I am not making these anymore. However, PM me your phone and case combo and I'll see what we can do.

Do you have a link or the CAD file? I'm interested in doing this except I will have to design a new actual holder as I have a Samsung. I can still use the rest of it though. This is a neat part for sure!

I've got an older 2nd gen and I'm looking to add a wireless charger in the space below the dash in front of the cup holders. I just want a flat piece that I would secure the charger under, and place the phone on top of to charge. I'm trying to make one out of ABS but making it clean looking and not FUBAR is proving a challenge for my limited skill set. Ever made one of those? How much you think? Similar to what the later years' models have.

I wouldn't mind getting the STL as well, for the attachment pieces...i might be able to try and design a holder for my Note 9

Like I mentioned, these were all from Thingiverse. Just search for RAM Mount and plenty of options will pop up. There's also this thread to look at:
