It's been over a span of 34 years, mostly it's being in a hurry and not wearing PPE thinking "it won't happen to me.....again" :D

I was making a special wrench thingy for a customer today. Don’t ask cause I don’t know either. All I had were pictures to go by, not a drawing.

Yeah me and my boss man can't figure out what that is for either. Makes no sense but the customer is always right :D:rolleyes::confused:

The socket is 1 1/16" with a 3/4" drive, the extension welded on the other end is 3/4" drive.

Maybe it's a pin that goes into a hole on a flywheel of some sort? Socket goes onto center nut, pin goes in a hole along the radius. Give it a bump with an impact to get it spinning without putting too much stress on the center nut and rounding it out

It would. A lot of the things we make, I have no idea what they are for. That's one of the things I like about working here though, it's always something different. We're a custom machine shop.

I saw one of the guys yesterday who works for the company I made the wrench for, it’s a large company. I showed him a picture of it and ask what it was for, he said he had no idea

What does this company do? Might help us form a hypothesis.

They run screeners. Big power screeners that separate rocks from dirt.

They look good! What are you cutting the slots with? Plasma? Water jet? Laser?

hole saw and plasma cutter. kinda labor intensive, but i really enjoy the work.

I am in the design stage of building a cnc pasma table. about 3/4 the way of sourcing all the materials.
