I think beer makes for a better analogy.

TRD OR 4x4: Guiness. Drinkers feel superior over other beer drinkers and can't imagine why anyone would chose something else. (even if some of them can't hold their liquor)
TRD Sport 4x4: Stella. Drinkers drink it because they like it. Others don't get it.
TRD Limited: Seasonal Brew. Drink it because it's exclusive!
TRD Pro: Small batch local IPA. Looks good, tastes good, costs more, less common.
SR5 4x4: Miller Genuine Draft. Gets the damn job done.
2WD of all models: Light beer. Still effective, still beer.
