    Lots baby!
I made this gauge pod for my car.
    066_zpsthwaoyxg_e19d61cbf70e0d493fc52e0cce4c445979323fc4.jpg

After printing, I did body work. Little bondo a little primer. I wanted a very smooth part.

    014_zpszkajdm6d_16d3a970307942864315b2a4c9b0d64d0fb7ed01.jpg

When it was done I painted the pod a gloss black.

    017_zpsddz3bbwa_83031fb3dc5cc7bb992a93e326e78e497c53489b.jpg

Then I bonded it to my shifter trim.

    This is installed w/gauges.

So apparently I have to wait 24h to upload a thing to Thingiverse. If you need it in the meantime, here's a link to my Google Drive file.

Would be great if the designers who no longer want to sell an item or just make it available would post the .stl or .obj file on thingiverse for others. Also as stated earlier PLA is not good for items that will be exposed to heat or moisture. Go with ABS or some other material. There are some good printers out there for a relatively affordable price.

I really like that phone mount. I'd be bugging you for the file if I hadn't already installed a RAM mount.

Does anyone have a file for the blanks on the driver's side? Got an ambitious project for my subwoofer knob.

I'd like to get a blank that I can attach the board to and put the knob on.

What model printers y’all printing with? I’m starting to Jones for making my own parts lol.

What’s the difference between the $5k ones and the $199 models?

Consistency, and less fiddling with it. At work I have an Ultimaker 3+. The reviews were mostly centered around the fact that you pull it out of the box, put a spool of filament on it and start printing. I didn’t want to invest in something I’d have to work on constantly since I have my actual work to do. So I needed simplicity and consistency. Would I spend over $5k for one personally?? Not a dang chance! I’d buy a $300 one and learn more about how to make it work well in my freetime. But that’s just me.

Having started out a number of years ago with a basic printer, the biggest feature I'd look for is auto bed leveling (way easier to set up and better print quality) and ability to remove the bed - makes it a lot easier to take parts off. About a year ago bought a Prusa and very happy with it.
