I'm trying to figure out the front end on the Tacoma as it felt that I was riding on the bump stops up front with the fox 2.5s 13" 600# springs. I found this thread after swapping out springs for 14" 650#. Reason for swapping springs is that it felt that the front end was topping out off the bump stops.

Mods: Alloy skids and bumper, Winch w/ Synthetic line, Sliders, Dual Battery, 255/85R16. All pro upper arms, Total Chaos Lower Arms (Stock Length), Timbern bump stops, Sway bar is removed.

Now have the 650# and dialed in from truck frame to center of eye bolt to 21" each side. Ride is much firmer and I'm a little concerned as I like to drive at speed off road. With the 650# springs it is still hitting the bump stops and I have not yet driven off road.

Ideal is to have a comfortable ride on and off road. I'd like to still be able to drive at 60 MPH off road without a jarring ride

Couldn’t find two single 5/16 punches so I got a 3’ rod of 5/16 steel from homedepot for 4$ and cut it up worked well!

Nice! That’s what I did also. Didn’t want to pay for 2 whole sets of punches just for the 5/16”. The 2 I made were a little bent up by the end of getting it all dialed in but couldn’t beat it for $4 and a hacksaw blade.

Yup mine too but with a liberal dosing of PB blaster they worked. Although I wasn’t patient enough for the hacksaw I just sawzalled both sides off so I didn’t have to file anything

Not just for teams. We've been told they will be rolling them out, not sure when the OEM stuff will be changed.

I just pulled the trigger on a full RXT leaf pack from your website. I really hope this helps - the stock rear leafs suck!

should I consider SUA with the RXT leafs? The shocks you built me were designed for 3” of lift. With only 2” I’m concerned about the lack of travel and topping out. I thought going SUA would be an option to get longer top-to-mount numbers.

So my fox 2.5's were also the issue. Sent them in for warranty because I could never get rid of the clunk and Fox had to completely rebuild them, put new springs on them because they didn't test correctly, etc.. Nitro was not my issue. Just wanted to give an update

So question... how much will the 883-24-007 (0-1.5") 2.5's limit rear travel if I wanted to go with something like the Icon RXT leafs and looking to get around 1.5" lift in the rear? Plans changed and I'm wondering if it's worth selling these and getting the longer-travel version.

How much weight has been added to the rear of your truck?

We use the 1.5-3" lift rear 2.5" shocks in our kits that come with RXT packs.
    0-1.5" Shock 23.02" extended length, 14.65 collapsed
    1.5-3" Shock 25.05 extended length, 15.65 collapsed
