    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

The wife and I wanted to go last year... I think that's just about exactly the time frame my truck was in pieces being converted to 4wd though. IIRC

I'd seriously be interested in going this year. I'll have to look at dates.

yeah me too, always a week or so too late for a trail run....

I feel they need to update the UI. TW is way more intuitive and user friendly

That's what brought me here. And T4R crashed a while back and I still needed to get my forum on.

Yep. Last month the climbing thread in OT got bombed by a bot. Over 12 new pages in 5 days. I reported it as well as a few others and nothing was done at all. The OP finally closed the thread to make it stop. I honestly don't think there's any moderation or admins left there at all.

I always feel bad bringing my truck to a car wash in this condition, usually wait till after a few rains have knocked some of it off.

That's nothing. Back when I had my '74 Ford Pinto, I took the dirt road from the Ruby Marshes to Ely, Nevada where I worked. Mud was clay like, had to use my hands to pull it off, while wetting down with water.

Ah, Ely, Nevada. Good memories of that place. I really need to go camping in the Schell Creek Range again.

edit: And the Snake Range, for that matter.

I went to HS in Eureka, lived in Ely for about 8 months before I got transferred out for my job. 24 hour notice. My second time to South Lake Tahoe.

    I dont. Lol

I was going to work in Ely. At the prison. But i guess Nevada peace officer association does not allow peace officers to have a medical discharge o_O

I had already got my job offer too :duh:

Oh man the Central Valley can be like that too. My old work truck had baseball sized mud balls in the bumper that no amount of water could get rid of.

You’d go around a corner and hear them roll back and forth. Clunk clunk clunk. Good times. And also why I avoid mud like the plague.

My dad started with Nevada in Eureka with NDOT before they called themselves that while trying to make a go on our half section farm. After my grandfather passed, my folks moved to Carson City, had to get a job at the max security in CC as to me, it seemed there were politics around getting transferred to NDOT there.
Dad was a Nevada vet, going in the Army in Vegas during WW II when he was in HS.
