So I'm about to buy a truck for the first time. It's a 2011 tacoma trd,m v6 4.0, perfectly kept. Every service needed at every point at the dealership and has records of everything possible. Single owner. It has Fox total chaos suspension all around, skid plate through the entire belly of the car, and everything else seen in pics. The only thing it has 190000 miles. But he only wants 20k, kbb states truck without upgrades is still worth 17k-19k. And this is in southern California if that matters. Comes with Jack that goes on the roof rack, gauges, things that air down the tires to a perfect psi, straps, extra parts he has from upgrades. And a off road warehouse bag for all the gauges and stuff. I wouldn't be too scared about the mileage honestly especially if it's been meticulously maintained. I live in the Midwest and most 2nd gens range anywhere from 15k to 25k and that's without mods. So that's a pretty good deal since sliders go for $600-$1000, bumpers are $900-$2000 depending on the options you choose and skids are $600-$1000 (I believe) and suspension is $1000+ I'd jump on it if I was looking for another 2nd gen

Awesome! Thank you. I'm super excited about it. And I felt the same way. But people are saying that is way too many. So just wanted to ask around. Thanks again

No problem man. One side note is with aftermarket parts comes with more maintainace so if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask you might actually find some members that live near you that can help. And welcome to Tacomaworld

Is it 4WD? Does it have a drop bracket lift?

Not a good deal. I just bought my 09 TRD OR (this is a sport without the rear locker) with 90k for 20. It came with sliders. I would not pay the same for all that gear + 100k miles

That said, the truck looks extremely clean and well maintained for the miles. I think if you could get it for around 15-17 you’d be in good shape.

+ 1 here also. Beautiful well maintained 2011 obviously and a no salt California truck to boot! But $20,000 for an 9 year old vehicle with almost 200,000 miles is a little over the top IMO. I'd keep looking for something with less miles and lower price. They are out there......

Looks super clean. Not worth $20,000. That price tag is new car territory.

You could take that 20k if you have it :notsure: put it as a down payment on a 2020 Tacoma

At that price you're paying for the mods. So unless the mods it has are ones you were 100% going to do, I would pass hard. It's worth closer to 11-14k if the frame is mint

It looks like a nicely done truck.

But unfortunately it's overpriced. Consider asking what your insurance would pay you if it was totaled.

Also consider asking a CU what the loan on it would be.

Both of those reflect more real world value, and the mods will be little to none of it.

Yeah, what joshS said, Only if these mods are 100% what you would immediately go do, if you found a stock Taco for 11K to 14K then go spend 6 to 7K to put these mods on, it may not be that bad. Sure looks clean & well kept. Much rather have less mi., but not a deal breaker
