As the title says, a stock 2006 Tacoma PreRunner, 4.0L V6, automatic transmission, stock open 3.73 gears, 37/12.50R17 BFG KO, from a dead stop to 70+ mph on a 7 1/2% grade.

There are far too many posts about how slow it should be, but for the people wondering how the acceleration rate is before they mod their truck, here's mine.

It's the answer to the 1,000+ posts "I don't tow, I don't off road hard, will I need to regear my truck if I install 33's or 35's?".

Looked like around 10 seconds 0-60 going up that 7.5% grade. On flat ground the 0-60 is 7.27 seconds. Stock tires on a (flat) track is 6.8 seconds.

One of these days, before I change the gears, I'm going to do the exact same thing with a trailer in tow.

Not bad at all for 37s. Got a pic of your truck? Also I wonder if a 4x4 would be any slower because of the added weight and whatnot?

    Taken today.

I really didn't know what to expect but for what it is it's really not bad at all.

According to the websites I looked at the 4X4's had the exact same 0-60 as the PreRunner.

I really wanted a video of 0-60 on flat ground with my Pedal Commander turned on, it has to be at least as good as stock tire 0-60, according to my opinion for now...

Absolutely it would. I'm just guessing but you're probably looking at 700# more weight.

Bfg’s run very small. They look smaller than my 35’s. Still a cool video though! I never felt the need to regear

I have the same grade on my daily commute, for a heavier truck (compared to the truck I used to drive) it does really well. It will cruise along 60mph and stay in gear. If you need to pass a truck it will do just fine. Always keep it in D4 up and down, it holds the truck really well going down the mountain.

I have zero interest in having any online conversation with you as you have no positive intentions whatsoever. It's a PreRunner, remember?

    https://youtu.be/uuti-PrM4Tg

I love the douchebag's comments in the background of the video around 1:15, what a dumbass that ate his own words... but it doesn't matter because mine is a mall crawler for now anyway.

I made a few mistakes in this video.
    1. My inclinometer measured the incline at 4.7 degrees but a county road sign lists it as 6.
    2. Wear your seatbelts.
    3. The truck is not completely stock with only blocks and spacers because it also has high caster UCA's.
