I went with the rough country 2inch front spacer, Toytec 1 inch rear blocks, and did the Toytec sway bar relocate bracket last night. Feels like it drives pretty close to stock to me. I was going to run 265/75/16 but went 285/75/16 because why not. Haha. Doing my CMC sometime in the next couple of weeks because it’s close at full lock and I go off road every now and again.

i like the look! did you have to grind anything? according to the link you posted it says "IMPORTANT: Will NOT fit 5-Lug models. TRD Off-Road model will NOT fit 3" or 3.5" front spacers. With rear shocks, will require tab grinding."

I went with 2.5 which spacer is 1.25” which give roughly 2” or a little over. Had mechanic put lift on.

I feel like I should come clean. I only have one 1/8” spacer. The OP just had so much passion I wanted to join in. :anonymous:

Except you guys need to get out of your driveways for some pictures. You’re giving spacer lifts a bad name. :mudding:

You're speaking of the shims that come with the kit that you linked? Or did you have to add/replace shims after it was installed? Anybody have experience installing a spacer lift kit themselves? I know my way around the garage but I've never done a lift.

Spacers are the easiest, you should be fine, spacer on front and if you are also doing the rear you can do a block or ad a leaf.
Depending on how big of a spacers, you might have to do a diff drop which is just another tiny spacer.
If you get driveline vibration youll need to replace a needle bearing on the front diff.
Regardless the situation, it's pretty simple 1 day job drinking beer
If you need more help YouTube tons of vids step by step

Nothing but blocks and spacers and JBA High Caster UCA's on my PreRunner, everything else is stock. It's unbelievable to me how much hate I've received on my truck here on TW, it's like my extremely inexpensive lift is trashing their thousands of dollars lift? I don't get it at all. How about you do what you do and if you don't like what I've done just keep scrolling... I'm 100% positive 99% of those haters would be keeping their mouths shut if it were in person and not online.
    20200104_084555.jpg
I think the reason tall spacers will stiffen the ride is because of the amount of down travel available with the stock UCA. If the UCA is swapped for an aftermarket the down travel problem is corrected. It is just a guess of mine, as the LCA doesn't have any problem with the extra down travel during the install of the spacers.

My truck rides like a dream come true on the street and it has load range E tires but yet all I've read is how horrible load range E tires ride and how horrible spacer lifts ride. Idk but I think a lot of people just retype what they've read, instead of what they've experienced, and it just keeps perpetuating.

I've got a lot of really big plans for this project so it didn't seem like an intelligent decision to spend a ton of cash on a lift on a one wheel drive truck that'll hardly ever see dirt until it's not a one wheel drive and at that point the entire front and rear suspensions will be removed permanently.

I just realized I'm in the 3rd gen forum, I'm getting really good at posting in the incorrect area. Lol. My apologies.

On a different note, yesterday I saw a real nice 3rd gen yesterday pulling a ~26 foot trailer going over a mountain pass with up to 7.5 degrees of incline. It looked like he was having fun. It definitely had something in the back like an AAL or air bags or???

I took a short video of it, but it won't load here on TW without putting it on a host site first.
