Thinking out loud..... Something tells me that we will never leave that region during my lifetime.

So 3600 time zones within that one time zone? One for every second? Or 60 zones, one for each min? I listened to this podcast “stuff you should know” and they did an episode on time zones. Interesting stuff. There used to be wayyyyyy more than how many there are now, and it talks about how we evolved over time

@EatSleepTacos Haha. Wondering if anyone was gonna hit on this. And I don’t have an honest answer either, as I didn’t think I’d get a reply. Thumbs up for the zones in the zones.

I was just throwing it out there as this was a (drunk phone call) topic of discussion years ago. That lasted for a good hour with some friends.

to add for the sake of discussion. Would it be minutes being closer to the poles? And minuets, seconds, milliseconds closer to the equator?

this stuff is used for mapping. Why not real time?

The logistical nightmare of it all is too much. Really, time is arbitrary anyways as opposed to Gps coordinates. Life would be easier if we all went on Zulu time

Rite rite. Just having some fun with it.

@crashdb ... going forward, I will always relate “DAy light savings time” to Dave Standard time. Good stuff.
