Rope hooks, squeaky clutch, seat bolt. Am I missing some major DIY or are you hiding your accomplishments

 

Yeah that picture I posted came from a reviewer that tried all the boards/ladders you listed and more.

They used cheap aluminum ladders though which folded in on themselves immediately.

I'm all for going on the beach but I'd hate to get sand in places I don't want/need sand.

seat was broken internally, over 10k miles of aggravated popping until i figured out what was wrong and put a washer to 'fix' the popping on every gear shift and cornering

 

it was HELL for many months

Trying to figure out how to remove the front struts now, Think I need to drop the front sway bar to give me room.

 

new scuff plate screws
new arch molding bolts
but those were not a whole lot ... less than $40 in all

i gained 5hp or so

 

@GQ7227 I missed the work done by others. I will try to pay better attention and focus less on what's not DIY.

 

the exhaust was only $100 or so for mechanic to put it on, and take old one off. money well spent! ain't no way i was equipped to do that
i have to mod the frame myself after the last quote i got from someone that perhaps knew what they were talking about ... i just cried

 

Looks like just the lower control arm needs to drop down. 2 bolts and hopefully it moves enough.

 

if i did it myself, or attempted to, i feel it would cost a shit ton more
the upper radiator hose was relatively easy peezy took a few hours, was definitely NOT porking out $250 for dealer to do that FML

 

did you do the exhaust yourself? What does something like that run? any pics?

I've seen it mentioned more than once... haven't really delved into the topic though.

EDIT: pfft. just saw your post about paying to have it done. pics? before/after thoughts?

 

i bought the parts online, what pics do you wish for

i had the lower fuel shield powdercoated, that was fun to take off underneath on my back and crooked neck with the crusty bolts
rented a DIY garage lift space to try to get it put back on while standing and resting it on my head but it took me over an hour to do it solo, plus wipe down the fuel tank,etc.

 

@GQ7227 What frame mod you planning? Full box or added reinforcement?
