Mickey Thompson atz vs. BFG AT

Looking to get new tires. I've done lots of research on both, but just wanted some opions at to how each handles, ride, noise, fuel mileage, etc.
I've read posts that the BFG's are louder than the ATZ's? In terms of ride, I know the BFG comes in a 265-70-17 in a C load rating, while the ATZ in that size is an E (but comes in an D at 285-70) and have read that the ATZ are a very stiff ride.

Just want some opinions before investing a significant amount of money.

I'm on my second set of BFG AT's and love them. They look nice, aren't loud, handle well (I mainly do city driving), and they last a long time. I don't have any experience with the MT's. Best of luck.

 

I was thinking of getting ATZs until they were reported as being very LOUD on the highway... very loud (use search and see for yourself). I am now leaning to the new General Grabber, reported as very quiet for a rugged tire. I had Cooper Discoverer STTs, and they were so noisy that I ask about sound before buying now!

Best tire out there (a/t) hand down! No highway noise and great offroad/in the snow!

 

I vote BFGs. Have load E 265/75/16s on my truck now and I love 'em. I've put over 6k mi on them so far and can't even tell. Driven over some pretty nasty terrain and they handled it perfectly. Pretty good in rain. I'll see how they do in Utah snow here in a month or two.
