It’s supposed to rain most of the day I think. I had hopes of one last evening hunt since today is the last day of muzzleloader and the end of the season.

Finished up my mount of the buck I took opening weekend. Super happy with how it turned out. Not bad for $15 worth of materials and about 4 hours of work

I'm ready for next season already.
Got all my tags and already have my permit to hunt the watershed with shotgun.
June 1st is when I can get my archery permit for the watershed.
Good season I had. 3 dinky bucks. 2 crossbow and one with slug gun ,so freezer is in good shape.

Breakfast was tenderloin and biscuits and gravy. The rain has stopped and it’s starting to clear up, but I’ve opted to stay home and build cabins. They’re only little once! I’ve had a good season, went two days and shot one each day. Now the long wait til next fall starts!

Have 3 windows for the new blind project. Probably wind up tinting them.

my mom use to always can some of our deer meat. it makes one hell of a pan of gravy. grandma use to make it all the time.got to remember, real working farm in the mountains out toward WVA.they never had running water.grandma would do mash potatoes, deer gravy, tomato bread and the best mac-n-cheese ever. only had one kind of cheese. a big hunk of sharp cheddar.wow good memories. my job as a kid. keep springwater buckets full, firewood for the stove, and one bucket of milk in the pantry. homemade butter on your homemade bread!! Yes Please.
