Trying to find the best aftermarket set..

    Thanks!

I’m happy with my made in Taiwan TYC replacement headlights. Good price, nice beam pattern. Even came with German made halogen bulbs.

P.S. paid about $60. delivered a little over a year go, and holding up well.

By how your truck looks, I’d assume you have a 01-04. Tacomabeast makes some pretty sick looking headlights for 01+ models but this is the only pair they sell on their site, my friend runs some and they look super good at night not to mention really good light output and so fourth, I’m not sure what type of bulbs he’s using but these lights have an open housing giving you the freedom to get whatever type of bulbs you want in them. Good luck!

Have you attempted to refurb them? You'd be amazed what wet sand/compound/polish will do.
The previous owner of my '01 had replaced the OEM assemblies with Vision brand, and they were terrible. I just bought and installed TYC brand and they are much better.

If your lenses are old and fogged, those refurb kits don't do squat.

Depending on the year of your truck, there are different recommendations. If you have an 2001-04 then nothing beats the TYC (CAPA certified) ones from Rockauto. They are like $40 a piece.

If you have an older truck with the sealed headlights, there are some other options, but I'm not familiar with them. Search around for posts by @crashnburn80, he's done a lot of very intensive testing on all manner of headlights, and has a lot of posts about it.

I can't speak for the kits as I've never used one, but I've gotten very good results from using my own supplies. Not perfect, but good enough and I saved the cost of replacement assemblies.

My truck is a 2002/1st gen.
The existing headlights (aftermarket) are beyond saving.
Anyone have experience with the 1 piece headlight/side marker units?

Also, a "textingdrunk" ran into the back of me Xmas eve.
    Gotta' deal with that also

Like I said check out the tacomabeast website they have a pair on there other then that I’m not really sure. For the one on their website you get to choose your own bulbs and it’s around 230$, but they’re good quality and will last you

Nope, don’t do it. There is a reason the factory did 2 piece lights. The 1 pieces are hard to fit, don’t always line up well, and those companies are more concerned with form over function. They look cool, but thats about it.

Just get the capa cerified ones from rockauto.

Ditto, good experience with the TYCs order from Rock Auto
