I’m looking for advice to upgrade the interior lights in my new Tacoma. Its mainly for the Dome and Map lights. I know there’s many options out there. I know there’s some super bright bulbs out there but some can get very hot and have no longevity. I’ve been looking at the Sylvania Zevo bulbs has anyone used these.

I went through several brands of LED's on my previous and current 3rd Gen. None compare to the Meso offerings. A lot more $$ than simply replacing the bulbs, but the results are well.... night and day. This is especially so with the dome light. No matter what LED you put in there, you get a bright hot spot without much distribution. You also have to be careful as there are slightly different sized bulbs offered as compatible for the dome light. The slightly longer one can be squeezed in, but it's a pain and if you don't get it in properly it can short against the light frame and cause a lot of electrical problems.

I know lots of members joke about how bright the Meso's are and that you need sun glasses, but of course this is just jokes. They are bright, but after a couple of weeks you hardly notice the brightness until you need it to see something.

Glad someone can appreciate the thought and function that went into my design:thumbsup:
There are a ton of “drop in bulbs” but they all have the limiting factor of fitting into the OEM socket behind the stock lens. When you take that out of the equation, you get a lot more performance.
The white maps are pretty bright. I’ve had customers run 1 White + 1 Red mixed with good results. That is, until my dual colors come out:)

I need something that can mount to the molle rack, like map lights for left and right side. I’m picturing the Baja dome light but lower profile. Would love to get some coverage down into the rear floorboard because the seats block some of the white dome

Are you doing a push-button version? And will the hex-pod fit in the hex-molle?

    Good question.
I don't have any push button planned at the moment.. something I am thinking about. I just want it to be stealth and integrated.
As for the overhead molle.. yes that is the plan to revise it to HEX style so my pods can fit flush in it.

OP I'm using those Sylvania LEDs they sell at Walmart they work great they're not insane bright like others but it's still much better than the factory ones. Go for it plus they're cheap!

Will you ship one white and one red or do you need to order both sets?

Also don't forget to pull out the center consal to install DONT just pull the bulbs / you can fry the board .
