Finished the suspension this morning and then changed oil & filter. Ran down to Autozone and picked up a pair of Gabriel rear shocks to hold me over thru the week.

Rides much better, no more bottoming out. Still need to drive more to get a better feel but it was almost a full 3" lift on the front from where it was sitting when I got it. No more XREAS, removed the whole system.

All this shit is going to the metal recycler.

Before the swap, notice how low the front was riding. Tires are 265/70/17.

And after with the 2019 Taco Bilstein shocks and springs.

Rear FJ springs should give a slight lift from my understanding and the Taco Bilstein shocks will have a little more travel i think.

    Yep!

Well I happened upon 2 hard to find Moscode Hybrid (tube input, solid state amp) integrated.

I was able to get one of them fully modified by Stephen Sank himself when I was living in Chicago; MIT multicaps, holco resistors, the works...that thing paired to my Magneplanar speakers was fucking heaven.

Either the bolts will be broken or loosened, but the bed is coming off with that suggestion. No ifs, ands, or buts about it:D

I did meet Paul W. Klipsch in person once.

He was giving a presentation about the history of audio equipment and Klipsch speakers at a store in North Little Rock when I first got into the business.

Klipsch was in Hope AR in those days and it was easy to meet up with him. He was a very interesting and brilliant man.

I “upgraded” several years ago when my first flat screen disappeared off my wall, along with all my dvds, stereo equipment, passports, etc... that was fun. Back when a 42” was considered huge, I got me a 46 plasma. Yeah baby, plasma.

Ironically, my computer was too much an old piece of shit to bother taking.

Didn't know that. I moved to Smugmug like 3 years ago, whenever Photobucket got really stupid. Downloaded all the pics I had put there and moved the majority over. Don't regret it at all.
