Bottom right of this pic, you can just see it under the compressor. It moves it down and under.

Super impressed with those valves. Had a broken valve stem fixed in no time at all. Then ran the rest of the trail on the Colby valve. Very cool.

2 works but 4 is always better.

I have the tred pro ones and only used them in snow so far. They do work though.

Eugene used to have the maxtrax but lost them in Montana.


The major difference between those cheap ones and the two big brands is how flexible they are and how they pack.

Maxtrax flex a lot more which is good, means they won't crack. They both pack pretty thin.
The cheaper ones don't stack 4 high as nice. And from what I've seen in the extreme cold they crack easy. But for the price they're pretty good

 

It's braided in pretty deep I was looking at it when I took mine off to clean.
The hook, just cut it off.

I put a factor55 flat link

 

Well since I have some consensus that agrees with my pragmatist side, lets go find some cutoff wheels...

Yeah I was really looking at the factor 55 stuff, the flat links, bridles and those Ultrahooks are pretty sweet too!

Figured the bridle and prolink would stick out, so it came down to the Flatlink, Ultrahook and the Warn.

Warn wasn't as fancy as the Factor 55 stuff but it was the cheapest.

You'll probably get to use yours more often, being around Jeep guys and Norilsk all the time...

 

you guys are making it too complicated, a simple hook is all you need.

Same thing but locks the strap in and can’t be broken like those cheaper ones.

 

when it brakes then it gets replaced.


On another note, smashed e-locker sensor, it was behind metal guard. Ice chunks can be sketchy. That's going to be $100 for the sensor

Good thing these axles don't have exposed actuators like previous gens have

 

4” thick chunks of ice will do that.....

 

Needs 37s sooner... actually, skip it.
I'll never be happy with 37, better wait for the Marlin kit and fit 40s
