If anyone is considering purchasing a new rtt soon, the new Odyssey from gofsr.com is now on pre-sale. This is the tent that I was waiting to be released. Hardshell with a rack made on top in just a 7" height profile. I just haven't pulled the trigger yet. Hard for me to justify when I only camp once a year max.

    But check it out

Anybody recommend a good brake shop or know if any of the bases auto shops do pad replacement? Id like to save money and do it myself but I've never done it and dont own the tools for it. Im not sure if i need the rotors machined or not im just under 39k right now. and my stupid state inspection is this month.

    A thing or two...
Front brakes are easy. Pads can be replaced without pulling the calipers. If the rotors aren't warped and there isn't a lip at the edge of the rotor, there's no reason to replace or machine them. If you do need to replace them, it's 2 bolts to take off the caliper.

yea i was told back in sep when i did my last toyota warranty maintenance that the front pads would be too worn down by the time inspection time comes around. so im pretty sure i just need to do the pads and nothing else right now. i just dont have any tools to do it. i was trying to look and see if ft belvoir has people that would help you do it and that way i could just use a lift and it would go a lot quicker.

How much the hobby shop guy is willing to help depends on the guy. They're only required to run the lift for you and checkout tools. If you've never been there, they're more likely to at least keep an eye on you to make sure you're not going to kill yourself. You're better off seeing if any of the guys that work on/near base can help you, like @ready6delta or @Superman910.

It brightens my day to know that you got out in the rain, and washed some grime off your head, to take that picture.
