Yeah the 5 spd running gear swap and long bed swap onto double cab and then a early front end swap onto it:drool::drool::drool: might be the dream. Maybe a blower?

well if i can get this 01 i found last night lined up it might happen sooner than later. chances are if i find one for a frame swap my 01 will get a bump in getting put onto its new frame so the old frame can be preped for the swap onto another truck. and so begins the build of the odd retro styled double cab long travel 5 speed taco..

honestly w/e double cab i find may end up with a 4.7.. or i might just go full on crazy and put a toyota diesel into it. i really dont know.. i have too many projects.. its actually weird having one close to done.
my green truck needs to be ready for bodyshop by next winter. so that is priority once the tundras finally got a full interior

I often wish I wouldve held out for a clean extra cab 1st gen tundra to pop up back when I was looking for my truck. Wouldve been a little more useful.

Thats the only reason why I didnt. But it was either buy a Tundra thats reliable yet is bad on gas, or buy a similar year domestic full size that gets ok mileage and be fixing shit constantly.

    In that era, yes.

I shouldnt have been so set on a 5 speed and shouldve looked at some double cab 1st gens or 4Runners. Sucks being able to only fit 1 extra person.

 My first build had me chasing after detents that went flying. And boogering up the bolt catch roll pin. And almost snapping a trigger guard ear off.

But bar none, assembling the rear sight assembly on a stripped A2 Upper is the hardest part of an AR to put together. Not a lot of people want fixed iron sights though, so they dont get that pleasure haha.

ive thoroughly enjoyed being able to pickup drywall and shit and just throw it in the bed and close the tailgate... it makes me realize how small the double cab tacos bed really is
