the gas system on mine was fine. just wanted to minimize dwell time. plus when running the supressor i turn the gas down 1 click and my eyes thank me. before the supressor it was fine with the regular block

nothing wrong with that. i run heavier buffers in the long guns. the pistol was get it light and cheap. dwell time down as much as possible just to see what kind of cyclic rate i can eek out of it.

    Ok.

If you're going between suppressed and unsuppressed then yeah it makes sense; that or different load/ammo.

But an adjustable gas block on a rifle that never sees a can means it's not set up properly.

Pistols are a while nother animal then. I frankly know nothing of them other then that they can be a royal pain to get operating smoothly.

not arguing that. all my other guns have standard blocks (well the spikes build has an A.R.M.S. folding front sight gas block.. but its not adjustable)

if you keep it above a 10" barrel getting them working properly is as easy as a carbine. its when you try going shorter the gas systems just too much of a nightmare to deal with

Never had an issue with my carbine length 12" gun. Pinned and welded to 16".
