Usually garage kept trucks in the rust belt end up rusting worse. The corrosion occurs slower and less overall if you keep the vehicle cold.

That and the mannerism of ''its garage kept, it wont rust" so they never worry enough to check.

 

the constant thaw and refreeze. alot of people dont think of it.
