I recently redid them in rubber. But I dunno, probably could hurt I guess. I forgot that the 4x4.labs bumpers removed the back cross member. Maybe not a great idea to remove that. Be hard to source the bits that were cutoff since the stock bumper caps need them

 

Yes they can be money makers... A friend of mine rebuilds and resells auction salvage title cars all year long. Well he usually chills for 3 months over winter... Cause he can. He only does the Japanese makes.

 

id prefer to avoid salvage titles. but im not afraid of them. theyre just harder to sell because once its rebuilt you still get dinged on insurance and some people dont like that

 

personally.. i wont own a rebuilt title car unless its just purely a toy

 

They don't bother me, if you really want it to be clean again you can wash them through New Mexico and Nevada

 

i know theres loopholes. but ive got 4 cars as it is. i dont need another. let alone one thats rebuilt.






and no, the tundras clean. that rollover doesnt show on the history.

i almost bought a clean title tacoma cab and frame from a junkyard.... only because it was eligable for the frame replacement... but then i got there and they had just cut the truck in half.. i was like you fucking idiots. i could of bought it and then BEEN PAID BY TOYOTA to put a damn frame under it

 

For me and my inspection skills and crap, if I deem a salvage title vehicle as okay, then it is okay. Really depends on the repair and how severe and how well repaired. Some people get burned bad by purchasing salvage titles because they're dumb and shouldn't be buying salvage title cars.

 

That used to be a deal breaker for me too

 

if its got a rebuilt title it means it passes a safety inspection... you shouldnt buy salvage titles period if you dont know what your looking at.. at least rebuilt you have some reassurance

In Washington state that just means you were able to drive it again. We don't have safety inspections and many states don't

 

hmm weird. indiana is lax. but we still have to have the car phyiscally inspected for a rebuilt to be issued
