My camper shell has served me well but I recently added a RTT and have decided I'd like to have it ride lower so I can A) fit in my garage, B) make it safer/easier to get my two dogs in and out of the tent. I've settled on a Diamondback cover so my stuff can still stay dry and I plan to mount the tent to the cover. If anyone is interested in a trade, let me know. Rack would be included in trade. Located in Charlotte, NC. More/better pics available by request.

Any interest in selling the shell? I love in Atlanta but will be in Charlotte in a few weeks.

I'll come up with a price I guess if I don't get a trade soon. I knew a trade was unlikely but I was hoping just because it would simpler

Thanks, after this most recent family road trip. I’m done with my folding tonneau cover.

Im not thrilled to be losing all the extra space, we travel a lot, but having the tent lower is really a requirement for getting the dogs in an out. Hopefully I don't regret making the swap to a bed cover!

You're not the first to ask so here is my response to the last guy:

Link to the lift below. When I bought it was literally half this price though. Just unhook your bolts, lift the camper shell with your back, put the 2x4s in place as shown in my post and you can crank it up. Now that I have the rack on the shell I lift directly from the rack, so I just unbolt, hook up the chains and hoist it up.

8C44F9F6-FF2A-40FA-8145-88E8F580000F.jpg From the perspective of having the bed cover to now a shell I couldn’t go back to a cover. There’s just so much more room in the shell. Not trying to crew any potential buyers out of an awesome shell but why not build a collapsible bed platform for the dogs and keep the shell?

Believe me, I am very on the fence about this, I love my shell. Literally woke up last night at 3 am and couldnt sleep because it was bothering me so much. I do have a carpeted platform just like that but they will whine all night if they are not close to us. I also want to be able to fit in my garage and there is just no way it's going to fit with the HD Dakars. MAYBE if I loaded down the bed and then let the air out of all the tires could I just squeeze in but it's just not worth the effort, but I still need to fit in parking garages from time to time. I am also 5'7" so setting the tent up and taking it down would be much easier if it were even a few inches lower. It's the RTT or the Shell, can't do both unfortunately.

Understand completely. I don’t have a garage anymore because the kids needed a bedroom. I mean If the rtt has to go..... I know a guy. And I also know the same guy that would love those mounts off the prinsu look a like. Since my I mean his mounts sit too low.

I bought a Diamondback cover today so I’ll be making a for sale thread when I get the Shell washed up and off the truck. I’ll try to remember to tag you guys who expressed interest in buying it.

Yes Sir, will do. I'll try to get the post up by this weekend at latest. I put the new cover on this morning so it's off the truck and hanging in my garage, ready to head to it's new home.
