    @HAVING FUN
    I just thought to myself that @Fernando has a first gen front end I could use. I mean he doesn't.

    Thank you for the offer Jody. She has an ARB front bumper though and she loves it.

    Probably a dumb question but I can't find the answer searching around - what's the minimum height needed for a floor jack for a stock 3rd Gen? I was looking at this jack from harbor freight but wasn't sure if it'll be enough. We have an AC Delco 2 ton floor jack that we had used for a wagon but it isn't high enough for the Taco. It's for tire rotation or swapping for winter tires at home.

    Wish I had a whole lot easier way to raise mine when rotating tires. On my belly almost positioning blocks on or under a jack, or cheapo floor Jack from NAPA, then I don't have good leverage with the short handle. One of those with the long handle/lever that pro shops have sure would be nice. Time to spring for one I guess.

    I have an older model of that one. Provides plenty of lift.

    That jack will be just fine... especially if it's just for swapping tires etc.

    I was actually looking at the same one. But then I talked myself in to getting this one because it's max lift height is around 6 inches taller. Even with my lift, the taller one can lift the tires off the ground (at full suspension droop) lifting from the frame.

    Need two men and a boy to lift that. :) Do you use jack stands too?

    Better to know where shit is when you need it most. Before this, I had two drawers in the back of the 4Runner with tools, recovery gear, and spare parts thrown in it, with no real organization. Took me too long to find tools that were thrown in random bags and now everything is getting a home. Now one box has the tools shown (plus a few more) and the other box has my recovery gear and spare parts. My ultimate goal is to get my fridge out of the back seat and into the rear cargo area on a slide. By removing the amount of stuff in my current drawer set up, I can redo my rear cargo set up to have the fridge on one side and kitchen supplies/more commonly used tools in a drawer on the other side. .

    After I had bought a Kawa KLR650, a friend who rode bikes quite a bit told me I needed this and that. Got me worried then, that I might break down. Way too much to worry about since if out on my own and broke down, what to do? Not the confident type like him.
