    My favorite, go-to hand tool has to be the 3/8" stubby ratchet. Best tool in my box!

    I built my first engine about 28 years ago. I've been turning wrenches for a long time. I've got a fair amount of tools. I've never owned a stubby ratchet. I might could have used one a time or two, but I've always managed without.

    I work with diesel engines. My go-to ratchets are extended length and fine tooth. If I were an automotive tech, then the stubby would be invaluable.

    Socket wrench? I have their box wrenches. I love em. I'm not easy on them either. Their master metric set was on sale for a while.

    I’ve been wrenching for 30+ years and never had a stubby ratchet. I did acquire a nice flex head ratchet right before Christmas on a trade out welding job with a friend who happens to be a MAC tool salesman.

    The one I grab most often is my 3/8" SnapOn, fine-tooth.
    Agree with the utility of ratchet box-ends though.
