    Yeah that sand pit is fun Randy & theres a few spots where the LT/PreRunner guys can stab the skinny pedal, not real long (not like a sand wash in Ocotillo) but fun, I'd say you could probably hit 60-70mph in some spots & we have no problem with anyone doing it as long as its done safely. So far at least any runs I've been on we've all gotten our fill of adrenaline rushes without anyone being stupid, & from the list of participants, it looks like we've got some experienced drivers which of course makes it easier for all.

    Which brings up a point: If anyone who's going has little or no offroad experience, please by all means let it be known, THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING A ROOKIE !!We all were at one time or another, hell I'm still learning, just let it be known either by way of a post in this thread or you can PM myself or Matt (ReCkLeSs tAcO) if you don't want to announce it, but please let us know so we can get you off to a good start!! If you get stuck, no biggie, I'm sure theres more than 1 eager 4x guy that'll happily strap you out besides myself..

    Oh yeah Randy, are you bringing " Side Show Bob" (Ryan) for ballast ??:D

    Great... well we had 5 epic Baja 4WD trips this year, so far... Hope you can join us on a future one... I sure enjoyed HB Murphy and Zoom on the trail with us to Mision Santa Maria!

    I have posted photos on TW of them all...

    1) New Years, Bahia Santa Maria (so. of San Felipe)... first trip to Baja with new 2010 Taco. Blown away that I could drive in the deep, dry sand without deflating tires thanks to the new TRAC system. Perhaps cool weather or light truck load helped? Turned TRAC/VSC off and truck stuck in 'normal' 4WD (open differentials). Turned on A-TRAC and truck climbed itself out of the stuck (no deflating or clearing sand away from tires)... I was blown away!

    2) Memorial Weekend May... Mision Santa Maria group trip, 6 vehicles (4 Toyotas/3 were Tacomas).
    A-TRAC works flawless... never needed rear differential lock, as I had with previous Tacomas going in there.

    3) July 4th weekend... Shell Island (so. of San Felipe) group trip, 3 vehicles. The summer heat and heavy truck load made deflating tires necessary to drive the deep sand this time.

    4) July 18th weekend... Shell Island again... tried again without deflating, truck was digging in as we got closer to the water's edge. Deflated to 15 psi and the truck floated... took before and after photos of the tracks on the beach. Seeing is believing!

    5) Sept. 18th weekend... El Rosario and Las Pintas Fossil Grotto. Just a relaxing 2 night stay at Baja Cactus Motel with a day trip out to Las Pintas... one tough L4/A-TRAC hill to climb.
