That’s all I did. A lot easier than trying to remove it.

Thanks! This was my thought, but just double checking. I agree it seems like a pita to cleanly remove anyway.

Got my Bravo er... upTOP just before it got dark today. Install was pretty straight forward though I ran into a couple issues (mostly created by me). Along those lines, highly recommend using a punch to make hole in the weathering stripping as suggested in the install instructions. I tried to use drill and it wasn't pretty. @upTOPOverland_Drew I'm going to send a DM about another issue I ran into with the install.

I'll take and share more pictures of the final install later. Overall I'm really happy with it and looking forward to tricking it out with lights and other goodies (still deciding on what I want to do).

Ha. It was actually going OK on the first hole until I hit the small metal strip in the middle of the stripping. That caused the drill to shift and things went sideways. I ended up just removing the weather strip entirely in the area near where the racks supports are.

I'm probably going to go back and do the same. My rain gutters look like a ham sandwich where the spacers poke through.

Its not a big deal and mostly my fault. Some of the holes on my load bars weren't tapped deep enough. Instead of doing it the right way (tapping the hole deeper myself, though I didn't have the right tap on hand), I decided to use my power drill to drive the screws in. One of them had the head sheared off. In defense of my dumbass it worked fine for all the other screws. Anyways I'm going to try to get the screw out with an extractor when I get a chance. I also might try to drill it out and tap it for a larger diameter screw, but since the bar is aluminum and the screw is steel, I don't think that will work.
So if neither of those work, I'm going to need another bar.:anonymous:

Aaaaannnd you've taken over Micah's TW account.
Quick question @upTOPoverland @upTOPOverland_Drew When you shipped out the thin fin, and the wiring, were there supposed to be two sets of wires? one with the male connector, the other with the female connector?

A set of wires with a plug for the thinFIN/Truck half. And a disassembled plug for the rack side, wiring is on the owner since everyone will have different wants/needs
