Whelp, I guess I have plenty of time to decide to go this route with @Littles for a $600 adapter and wait 6-8-12 months for a Tacobox or just say F it and go a different route....Sucks its this dang hard to get this setup in a manual trans....I thought this was a huge purpose of the taco box? maybe get a auto trans taco and swap my entire setup over than order a taco box and sell my manual TRD-OR stock....auto kinda works better offroad I think in a way, I just love it street driving too.....hmmmmmmm

I was hoping for some kind of update at the end of October. I wasn’t expecting anything along the lines of “your taco box is on it’s way!” but hell, any kind of official update from @Marlin Crawler would be better than nothing at all.

I don’t really give a damn if my crawl box is 20+ weeks behind. I can wait, I’m a patient person, but I’d prefer to hear it up front from the horse’s mouth instead of getting the info by cold-calling the manufacturer for an update.

For those of you in limbo, as of the end of October, Marlin was 15-20 weeks behind on taco boxes. Got a manual? Well they said the wait will be “even longer on 6spd taco boxes”.

Ordered from Marlin. Installed. Wheeled and follow the thread to see if anyone needs help.

Wait times suck, quality is worth waiting for. I had the same issues with waiting but was persistent and got my order. Few bumps and it was all good.

Spoke with them yesterday. Not accepting any new orders. The salesman I spoke with said they may stop making them as well and only sell adapter plates or maybe stop completely. Not happy with Marlin these days. Looking to go atlas.

Sad news, but no surprise here. Seems like the Marlin is going in a different direction. They're clearly more focused on their long travel setup and gussets and getting out of the business that gave them their name. They picked up a bunch of old inchworm parts and tried to make it work, but the frankenboxes they are putting out right now have been reported to leak and they are catching backlash for that. Long travel, gussets, dont have that problem. I get it from a business perspecitive, but it sucks seeing inchworm and marlin dissolve this business in the course of a couple years.

Been waiting on mine for a loooonnnnnnnng time. Was offered the frankenbox but said no. Makes me a bit nervous about parts if/when I'll need them. Atlas might be the way indeed.

Anyone else think its interesting how they say nothing for months at a time, typically don't answer the phone or give a super vague reason why they can't give a lead time, have everyone sign up for a "wait list" (total BS) and then expect us to gobble up what little bit of info they choose to throw out? Like a lot of the guys have said, we would rather have some real info even if its not what we want to hear. It seems more and more like they are deciding not to manufacture what made them who they are anymore but don't want to give up the publicity from it.

Unless something has changed recently, Marlin doesn't offer built units anymore and are out of stock on most of what you would need to build your own, specifically for a manual you are going to have a hard time finding the adapters. Ask me how I know.

If you're hell bent on a marlin setup, I will have a tacobox with 4.7 gears and the adapters you would need for the manual trans once I get my NWF box in, which should be shipping soon.

If your not dead set on marlin and 4.7 gears, you should definitely look at NWF.
