No rush whatsoever.. but any rough ETA on the vent rings? Any chance those will be available by the later middle of next month? Not important if not... Was just thinking they might be a fun birthday present to myself, lol.

 

Mold is done just waiting on prototype samples. Then production starts. Should be available by the end of the month

 

Do you know if the springs need to be all the way pushed down or just sit there. They are both on there @MESO

 

They just sit there. But IIRC there are 2 little black plastic nub things that sit on top of the spring

The missing ring is the collar ring for the shift boot just below the shift knob...so maybe just a 25 Cent discount
For those who aren't familiar with the kit the collar ring just goes over the existing chrome ring, no need to replace it that's why it's missing.

They are two very small black cylinder pieces that sit on top of the springs and flush with the top of the housing. So less than a 1/4 inch long and same diameter as springs. I was lucky enough to find one of mine on the floor and made another out of what I had in my garage. @MESO maybe edit install video to mention these. I had no idea they were there while following along and they must have fallen out when removing the chrome ring.

 

Still not sure what these look like, even with your good description. My switch seems to be working so I must not have lost mine. Anyone got a picture of what this is?

Definitely lost mine as I just took my part apart again and no where to be found the two little black cylinders... that's a bummer. What did you use to makeshift one?.. I'm not sure how I lost both of them I would've seen them fall

Has anyone deleted the door handle chrome?

I got my dealership to price out some black handles from an SR model, but they aren't cheap and IDK how difficult it should be to swap em out. Other than that (and the vents which are coming), there's the side mirror adjustment knob in chrome, but it's so small I can live with it.

 

yea, just had some plastic stick thst was the right diameter. Cut it so it was just flush, basically fills the rest of the hole the spring is in. Hope you got yours fixed.

mine did the same thing as yours. Saw your post and went looking by my work bench. Was lucky enough to find one, but frustrating for sure. I never saw them fall out either, but it must have sprung a little because it was on the floor not my work bench.
