That is what I'm looking for, and for the savings over new i would drive that far. The issue is I don't have a rack or any way to mount to bring home. I am working on commissioning a build for one. Great work and appreciated. That trailer doesn't look that bad, and would be a good starter. It appeals that I could drop it and go wheel. I wish there was a better description of the tent.

You can put the tent in the bed on some wood for transport. Then keep it stored until you get the rack built?

or see if someone down that way can start a TW express

hmmmm, didn't think of that. I just assumed it wouldn't go between the wheel wells. I guess I'll have to see if i can find a thread with bed width dimensions. I can't measure at the moment.

wasn't sure if that would damage it traveling that distance with all the bumps. I'll get a trailer or something borrow bed bars, there has to be an option if it works out.

Not going to lie, that was what I was thinking. I just don't have the cross bars on the rack. Something i wanted to add eventually anyhow.

There is 56.7" at c channel, and the tent is 56". It would/should fit above wheel wells correct?

Here's a great diagram for the 3rd Gen. Not sure if we can find this for the 2nd Gen but if most of everything else is the same we should be able to figure it out.

But to answer your question Mike, Yes, if the space is 3/4" of an inch wider than the tent, it will sit right on top of the wheel wells. It will be snug, but that's a good thing. You should be able to drop in some lumber in the slots in your bed sides to help support it as well.

Man did someone do everyone with a 3rd gen a solid. Everything you need to know in one diagram. Pretty sure the width and everything are the same, it was more of a height difference between the gens, but who knows.

no slots, but could build a wooden platform support cheap and easy enough. Now to see if i get a response. I have zero faith in CL, and facebook marketplace has yet to produce for me. Pretty much my entire build is left over TW members stuff. I've never been burnt that way and prices are always reasonable.
