Transmission Dipstick question

    You sir, are a brave soul.

    It's easy to remove as I did so recently when I dropped my pan, but pushing the dipstick tube back in and lining up that bracket and bolt was the worst.

    The dipstick tube insists on turning as you insert it into the pan, and it's either really loose, or gets pushed in too far causing the bracket to be misaligned.

    Full disclosure I haven't even used my winch since I built that bumper... :anonymous:

    I think I remember taking the bolt off the dipstick when I did my timing belt for a little extra clearance. That may have been my engine oil, can't remember exactly. I'm old and stupid.
